Nepali boy near Mt Everest

The death toll, currently over 3,500, from Saturday’s 7.8 magnitude earthquake that hit Nepal and the surrounding region continues to climb. Constant aftershocks hamper recovery efforts and tens of thousands of men, women and children are sleeping outside in the streets and squares for fear of more devastation. Collapsed buildings, destroyed roads, downed power and communication lines and the treacherous terrain have made getting reports difficult.

But we finally have word that workers of a Somebody Cares ministry partner, Call of Hope, in Kathmandu are alive and safe.
Even though their center was demolished they are doing what they can to help others. Please pray for their continued safety, wisdom and comfort as they reach out in the midst of their own loss.

Relief teams from around the world are having difficulty accessing the area, but we already know people in Kathmandu who are already reaching out! Will you help us provide the needed funding so they can purchase and distribute critical supplies like tents, blankets, food, and medical supplies?

The need is great and urgent, please pray that the ground will settle, that supplies can get into these precious people, and that through this tragedy survivors will come to know that God loves them.  Also please prayerfully consider  helping today!
