Devastating Category 4 Hurricane Slams Haiti

Hurricane Matthew slammed into Haiti this morning with Category 4 winds.  Somebody Cares has partner organizations and churches across the island and we are preparing to respond once the storm passes.  Non-perishable good, shelter, medical supplies, and much more will be urgently needed.  is in contact with several partners in Haiti, all of which are bracing for the devastation that Hurricane Matthew could bring.

As the storm continues to rage please PRAY:

  • That Hurricane Matthew loses strength quickly and dissipates,
  • That the track of the storm veers away for other populated areas,
  • That the Somebody Cares partner CoreLuv orphanage staff and children remain safe and are able to serve their community,
  • That the Church responds quickly with appropriate aid and the love of Christ,
  • That abundant resources are given to Christian organizations for whatever response is needed.

If you are part of a church or organization interested in supporting or being involved in the Somebody Cares Network Hurricane Response, please send your group contact information to [email protected] so we can stay directly in touch with you.
