Help Indonesian Earthquake Survivors
Indonesia has again been rocked by a devastating earthquake. The recent 6.9 quake near the island of Lombok has left over 150,000 people homeless. As of now, the death toll is 131, but it is still rising. Three days later aid is just beginning to arrive. There is immediate need for water, food, medical care and shelter. There is also need for crisis and trauma counseling as well as long-term recovery assistance.
Somebody Cares, in partnership with the Indonesia Relief Fund, is working to support local churches in Indonesia who are already responding. Because the affected region is largely Muslim, Indonesians who understand the language and sensitivities are the best responders. But they need additional resources to meet immediate and longer-term needs. Your gift today will help rush aid to earthquake survivors who are in desperate need! Please consider a generous donation today!
(Somebody Cares is only accepting financial donations for Indonesian earthquake response at this time so we can support efforts already underway by partner churches. This is the most effective and efficient way to quickly get appropriate aid to victims right now.
