God asked her, “Are you a church person or a Kingdom person?”

Marlene Yeo had been serving as youth pastor at her church for several years when God changed her course. Everything she had been doing was to build up her local church, with no thought of what God might want to do on a broader scale. “Then,” she says, “God wrecked me.”  

God invited me to test Him, so I did!

One night during family devotions when I was seven or eight years old, my father read a passage about tithing. While I don’t remember the exact Scripture, we may have been reading in Micah, where the Lord challenges the Israelites to, “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” The Holy Spirit worked in my young spirit so right then and there I determined to be faithful in my tithe to the Lord.

I gave my life to Jesus when my was six years old. We had just returned to the States from an overseas assignment and moved to Tampa. That is where another fighter pilot and his family from my Dad’s squadron in England has been sent to recover from a near fatal plane crash. Then Air Force Captain Kris Mineau (now a retired Colonel) met Christ while in a hospital room. As soon as he was released, he and his wife started sharing the Good News with my parents, sister, brother, and me! The change in Mineaus' lives were so remarkable that my Mom and Dad knew what they said was real. e
