It is a make it or break it moment for the Church in America. The significant political, cultural and environmental issues of today are not the real issue. The real issue is our individual and corporate heart attitude toward God. Are we willing to set aside the idols that eat up our time and humble ourselves in prayer before Almighty God to see real revival and transformation? God is calling us to prayer -not merely platitudes or self-centered petitions – but selfless abandonment pleading for God’s purposes in our lives, our nation and our world.
In 2011 I was honored to serve as National Mobilization Coordinator and Somebody Cares helped with local coordination for a historic prayer gathering trumpeted by Governor Perry and directed by Luis Cataldo —The Response. It was a powerful, non-partisan, non-denominational time of seeking God for our nation. But it was just one small piece of what is required to see a national turning back to God.
Many others are also sensing this urgent call and have scheduled corporate gatherings of prayer. I can not urge you strongly enough to carve out time daily to seek God’s face individually AND to join in one or more of the corporate prayer gatherings scheduled over the next months. We have included a list of some of these gatherings below.
If the Church in America does not heed God’s call to prayer and seriously prepare ourselves to be the Bride of Christ, I fear we will soon reach an Ichabod moment when we realize His Glory has Departed from us. What will we do then?
I don’t want to see us reach that point. Rather let us turn now, while we still have time, and sense an increase of His presence instead.

40 Days to Save America
Starting on September 28, and continuing through November 6, leaders are calling for 40 DAYS of prayer services, fasting and repentance.
They believe the political and economic problems which beset us are symptoms of a deeper spiritual malaise and the place to start isn’t with primaries, platforms and conventions, but prayer, fasting and repentance. Learn more.
Truly we are at the precipice of a societal migration from our Judeo-Christian foundation. Generations are forgetting the God of our Fathers.
