Because of your generous support, Alleluia Ministries International (AMI)–one of our Somebody Cares Caribbean partners–cooked and delivered 125 hot meals to seniors this week! The dinner was part of their extended holiday outreach to residents affected by Hurricane Melissa. All residents they served live in the hard-hit Rose Town community.

“We served 125 meals of fish, jerk chicken, and stewed chicken with rice, peas, and a garden salad,” said Minett Lawrence form AMI. “Thank you for contributing to a wonderful day of caring for our senior citizens in Rose Town.

Both containers SCAI shipped to the islands–filled with non-perishable food and other materials donated by relief partners across the country and collected by our Baltimore chapter–have arrived. One is expected to be available to our SC Caribbean partners on Monday. The second container has been delivered to partner YWAM in Montego Bay and distribution has begun!

Please pray for all of our frontline workers in Jamaica and all those who have been affected.

Your ongoing support ensures assistance to these devastated communities will continue.

Thank you for caring!
