Tricia bent down in a chair crying and overwhelmed from the difficult times she felt surge over her. Emily, one of the Somebody Cares team, knelt down and prayed for the troubled mother. While on maternity leave from her job 2 years ago she was told although she had been with the company for 12 years, she could not come back to work. Now two years later, Tricia is at the Somebody Cares office being prayed for, helped and loved at our annual Christmas outreach in Houston. She left with arms full of gifts for her family and a smile on her face.
Twenty-plus other families also received toys on December 18th for hopeful children this Christmas. This year’s outreach was in partnership with Calvary Community Church, which provided over 150 toys to put in the hands of struggling families. Every family was so grateful for the generosity and love.
Frankie, a mom helped during the outreach, said “Our family thanks all of you for your hard work and for blessing us. You have been a great help!”
Somebody Cares gave passed the remaining toys on to another ministry for their Christmas outreach this week.
While needs remain great Somebody Cares is dedicated to ministering in whatever ways we can. Through the faithful partnerships and donations of friend like you, together we are able to minister to so many individuals, like Tricia. Please continue to pray for the ministry this upcoming year, and continue to partner with us to help many more like Tricia and her family. Give today!
