Our Guests: David Bradshaw and Laura Allred
David Bradshaw is the founder and president of Awaken the Dawn (ATD), a national organization that is discipling America and the nations to host the presence of God on university campuses and in cities. He is also executive director of Communion America, which is gathering the nation on the National Mall in October of 2025 with 50 tents of 24/7 prayer and outreach and a communion table the length of the whole Mall. In 2017, ATD gathered tens of thousands at the National Mall in 50 tents (one for each state) for 24/7 worship and prayer at the heart of the nation. Since that time, ATD has hosted nearly 1,000 tent gatherings of 24/7 worship, prayer, and outreach across the nation. In 2009, David pioneered an expression of day-and-night prayer in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He has served as a local pastor for over a decade and has traveled extensively, both nationally and globally. David and his wife, Ashley, have five children. He currently resides in Charlotte, NC.
Laura Allred has been saying “Yes” to the Lord for nearly 30 years through full-time ministry. With contagious passion, refreshing vulnerability, and disarming humor, Laura carries a mandate of encouragement and exhortation to call the body of Christ to a higher standard of holy living and intercession. She is the Global Executive Director of A Million Women, a global prayer movement of modern day Esthers. Laura lives in Fort Worth, Texas, with her husband, Gabriel, and beautiful daughter, Evangeline.
Scriptures and Key Points:
- Communion America in Washington, D.C. will be the largest communion table in America.
- It’s in the DNA of the church to get into the public square.
- The church was born in this public prayer meeting where there was an outpouring and the gospel was proclaimed.
- Get into central places of influence and bring the presence of God into those places.
- When you experience those sovereign breakthroughs, you don’t do it just because it worked last time.
- The body of Christ returning to the centrality of communion and the power of the blood.
Luke 24:13-35 NKJV …Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him…
- There is a great revelation of Christ that God wants to release on America in the context of communion.
- Two significant things are happening in conjunction with this event.
- One is, as a result of recent tragic events, we’re seeing a mass mobilization of bold evangelism.
- The other is this call to plead the Blood for mercy and for radical forgiveness.
- And the communion table is not just about the sacrament. It’s about coming together as one in humility, and about radical forgiveness, God’s forgiveness for us and radical forgiveness for others.
- Also, it’s a recipe for a move of God.
“Don’t invite people to the National Mall anymore. Summon them.” – Lou Engle
We must convene right now around the communion table.
- We must plead the blood to end bloodshed and release revival.
“Jesus, I plead your blood over my sins and the sins of my nation. God, end bloodshed and send revival to America seven days a week.”
- We’re talking about the blood of Jesus ending school shootings, ending violence, ending the culture of death, and seeing great revival.
- This communion is a supernatural convening where Jesus will be exalted.
- The synchronicity of God: when you realize God has already been orchestrating every piece.
- In the upper room 2000 years ago, it happened that every nation was represented in Jerusalem at that moment when Jesus said, Tarry in the upper room.
- Nations were impacted in that moment.
- As we take this moment for communion, we can’t lose this window.
- This is a moment for the body of Christ to come together and lay down our agendas for the greater good of what God is doing in the nation.
- “Nobody will know if I’m actually there or not, but I knew in my spirit that my prayers of agreement mattered.”
- It’s urgent that we take our stand in the gate of our nation together in the spirit of unity.
Psalm 133 NKJV Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard…
- But it also runs down to the nation as a healing balm.
- And it’s the men and women who have been faithful on the wall. That when we link arms, we come together, shoulder to shoulder, to build this wall of prayer around the nation. This is what shifts the culture.
As we gather around the communion table of the Lord, and we hold the blood of Jesus, there is no higher authority.
- We can push back this agenda of innocent bloodshed in our nation.
“There are moments in history when a door for massive change opens and great revolutions for good and for evil spring up in the vacuums that are created by these openings. It’s in these divine moments that key men and women risk everything to become the hinge of history, the pivotal point that determines which way the door is going to swing.” – Lou Engle
- Will this increased violence, some are saying, could even potentially turn into a civil war, or will the body of Christ rise up in a mass forgiveness movement?
- When we have that national communion table and lift up the Blood of Jesus over America, we believe this one act alone could be this atomic bomb that would push back continued bloodshed in America.
“Prayer produces intimacy to whom you pray, with whom you pray in agreement, and then for whom you pray.” – Dr. Edwin Louis Cole
- It’s not about what we’re against. We stand for biblical righteousness.
Amos 7:7-8 NKJV …“Behold, I am setting a plumb line in the midst of My people…
- This is about seeking God’s presence, His heart, and then being used by God to be impactful in a generation that impacts the world.
- What we do in our posture in private has everything to do with our public impact.
- This communion is really about a movement of getting people back on their knees, and then getting that commission of God to go forth and impact their generation and the nations around the world.
- God’s raising up a multi generational connection.
Psalm 110:2-3 NKJV …Your people shall be volunteers in the day of Your power…
Could this communion be the culmination of all the prophetic words ever spoken?
- In the midst of the most difficult, humanly impossible situations, when people call upon God, God shows up.
- Could this be that very kind of moment that God’s about to do something that would do that would shake the world?
- Not in the way that the world has been trying to shake, but the way that God is going to bring a new multi-generational, prophetic generation preparing the way for the presence of God and the coming of the Lord.
- It really is about getting generations to rise up and be the body of Christ we’re called to be.
“Tears are like liquid prayers.” – Charles Spurgeon
- It’s going to take God’s grace and His outpouring to impact our generation.
- In these generational moments, it’s not pass the baton. It’s hold the baton together.
- In this great communion revival, as we recalibrate around the body and blood of Christ and begin to apply the blood, there is an opportunity for a historic outpouring in God’s heart for our nation and all the nations.
- So number one, let’s begin to labor in fasting and prayer for this outpouring.
- We are in a divine storyline.
- Pray and don’t lose heart.
2 Corinthians 4:16 NKJV Therefore we do not lose heart…
- Number two: join us on the National Mall.
- We’re going to humble ourselves before the Lord.
- There’s something about communing in the Lord, consecrating ourselves in our covenant with God, and then communing together, that God moves in some powerful ways.
Luke 1:37 NKJV For with God nothing will be impossible.
The Lord is making His bride ready.
- These are the days that we have been praying for for decades.
- The Lord has called a million women to go into nations around the earth to pull down demonic principalities.
- And through united prayer and fasting and Joel two assemblies, rebuild the altar of the Lord and covenant nations back to Jesus.
- Then there will be a day, where we will call all of these global Esthers, who have been awakened all over the world to make a spiritual aliyah to Israel, to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and for the return of the Lord.
- Prayer changes things.
- A warrior is not a man of war. He is a man of peace who understands that peace is always a result of strength.
Hebrews 12:28 NKJV Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken…
John 16:33 NKJV These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
Coming together in communion is powerful.
- Agreement is a place of power.
Nehemiah 8:1 NKJV Now all the people gathered together as one man in the open square that was in front of the Water Gate; and they told Ezra the scribe to bring the Book of the Law of Moses, which the Lord had commanded Israel.
“The next great move throughout the land will focus on the father heart of God.” – Fuchsia Pickett
Isaiah 1 NKJV …Learn to do good; seek justice, rebuke the oppressor; defend the fatherless, plead for the widow…
James 1:27 NKJV Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
Isaiah 37:3 NKJV …This day is a day of trouble and rebuke and blasphemy; for the children have come to birth, but there is no strength to bring them forth.
