Our Guest: Mike Jeffs

Mike and Viv Jeffs have been married since 1972, having raised three sons, all married within the Goodlife family and have 7 grandchildren. He and Viv are pioneers and visionaries of the Goodlife Church

Mike is the Founder of Network Communications and the Australian Christian Channel, now known as Good TV network. Some thirty years ago, Mike had a vision to establish a Christian Television presence in Australia and in 1999 that dream became a reality when ACCTV went to air for the very first time. He has a real desire to serve others, which he does through several Board roles, the largest of which is Compassion International

Scriptures and Key Points:

  • The Kingdom of God is built on relationships. First, with God; then with one another.
  • God’s timing is always perfect.
  • The wisdom is in the strategy.

Luke 1:37 NKJV For with God nothing will be impossible.

  • When God births the vision in your heart, He then reveals His strategy.
  • “God, what is the next step?”
  • Synchronicity of God- seemingly unrelated pieces that are actually connected
  • With God, there is no such thing as coincidence.
  • Advance the Kingdom of God and see people come to know Jesus
  • Defining moments change the course of your life.
  • We have to say “Yes” to God in those moments.
  • Each day is a new day dawning.
  • Simple obedience is the highest form of worship.
  • The first time the word “worship” is mentioned in scripture it is used in the context of obedience to God.
  • We become the living worshippers who step into moments by saying “yes” to God.
  • And we keep making those decisions and they define our destiny and our future.
  • When we make wrong decisions, God can redeem them.
  • Recognize that everything you have isn’t yours, it’s His and how can you invest that into the Kingdom of God.
  • There are moments of unexpected detours.

The test is not the test. How you respond to the test at that moment, that’s the test.

  • Respond like Jesus would, which is always in the opposite spirit.
  • To forgive someone and pray a blessing on them is quite a significant thing. It allows God to do His work.
  • Take the high road.
  • “If they’re using me and I know they’re using me, they’re not really using me; I’m giving it away.”
  • Change is never easy, but it is a necessity of life.
  • Be thankful for all that God has done.
  • “This vision is too big for me to comprehend. It’s Your vision. So I ask that You bring the people and resources to fulfill that vision.”
  • Keep your vision of destination and of hope.
  • Worship is warfare.

2 Chronicles 20 NKJV …For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.”…

  • Those defining moments require a step of faith and decision.

James 2:26 NKJV For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

  • Put your faith to action.

Matthew 17:20 NKJV …if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

  • Pastoring the region together.
  • With one fishing pole you catch a fish. But with a mended net working together, cast by the Lord, we catch a lot more fish.
  • It’s impactful when you follow the Spirit into what He’s leading you to do.
  • Everyone has a unique calling.
  • Not retirement, but refirement.
