Monster storm, Sandy, roared ashore Monday night leaving havoc in
its wake. Millions are out of power. Entire towns are flooded. Trees are down. And homes are destroyed. From North Carolina all the way up to New England, East Coast communities are beginning the long road of recovery. Somebody Cares is already there, through our Chapters and Ministry Partners. We are currently getting real-time assessment of the storm damage and mobilizing resources to help. Our Global Compassion Response Network and Somebody Cares Mobile Center are moving in as soon as it is safe to do so. Right now prayers are needed for those continuing rescue efforts along the coast. We are also in need of bulk loads of water, non-perishable foods, cleaning supplies, tarps, generators, personal hygiene items as well as funding to procure and transport items where they are needed most. Please join our relief efforts by donating today!
I am looking to volunteer in relief areas not being served yet. While I am in my 60’s I am physically fit and am a licensed contractor in Plumbing HVAC and welding construction in CA with 35 years of experience. I live in Ca and will fly into to help if I can get a group to work with.
I am in Montana, and am wondering what can be brought to New York/New Jersey that is needed. Where do I go to see how to help?
I would like to send clothing and blankets to the people of NJ and NY. Where would I send my parcels to? Thank you.
