Hurricane Ian response begins as our Somebody Cares grill team, Holy Smoke USA, has arrived in Cape Coral, Florida, and anticipates serving 6,000 hot meals today in partnership with Shepherd’s Pie and Bayou Chefs. Many of these will be served on-site at our Point of Distribution at Skyline Church with others being delivered to residents who are not able to drive to the site. SCA is also providing meat to partner CRI for another 500 meals. In addition to helping supply hot meals, SCA has delivered generators and is overseeing delivery and distribution of non-perishable food donations, cleaning supplies, and other materials.

Items needed for distribution include:

  • Non-perishable food
  • Baby care products
  • Personal hygiene products
  • Toilet paper
  • Paper towels

The needs are great, and recovery will be a long process. Your donation of $50, $100, $500,or any amount will help us continue meeting needs.

Please continue to pray for our Hurricane Ian response, for all those affected by the storm, and for all those responding.

Thank you for caring!
