Across the U.S., Somebody Cares chapters and centers are planning outreach events that will bless their communities for the holidays.
- In St. Augustine, our chapter is ready for its annual Coats4Kids drive, collecting coats, gloves, hats, and more throughout the month of November. Items will be distributed to the 500+ homeless students in the St. Johns County School District.
- SC San Antonio will be hosting its annual Feast of Plenty for their inner city guests on November 10.
- In Haverhill, Massachusetts, SC New England will be giving away 300 turkeys and hams to families the week before thanksgiving. Each family will also receive 10 bags of groceries! The SCNE annual fundraising banquet on November 17 has a goal of raising $10,000 to provide Christmas gifts for 275 children.
- SC Houston will be hosting its annual “toy store” with gifts donated by local church partners.
Our chapters in Tampa Bay, Baltimore, and Denver will also offer special activities for the holidays while continuing their ongoing outreach to the hungry and needy.
