Nearly 50 GenEdge and NextGen influencers and other leaders participated in recent leaders roundtable, hosted by Doug Stringer and Somebody Cares at Inspire Church Houston (formerly Christian Tabernacle).

“Investing in leaders is so important, especially in the times in which we are living,” Doug said. “We hear so many stories of leaders who are falling morally or even deconstructing their faith. But with the dreams and wisdom of the older generation and the vision, passion, and zeal of the younger generation, we can all live on the edge for Christ.”

Participants included Jake Freels from Awaken the Dawn, Lewis and Rachel Hogan from United Cry, Richard and Andrew Heard from Inspire Church, Mike Reiszner from Coreluv and Nations House of Prayer, Houston Rockets chaplain Mike Rosas, and many more.

Doug emphasized how God seeks our availability, not our ability. Many found encouragement in hearing the visions God had given to others. Leaders were reminded of the need to die to themselves when following God, with one attendee saying, “When the King of Kings appears, you die.”

Despite life’s chaos, Doug said, God can be found in the stillness. He encouraged attendees to pray, “God, whatever you’re doing, don’t do it without me,” urging them to stay humble, support one another, and prepare for the coming harvest.

“Thank you so much, Pastor Doug, for being a father to all of us and making a way for us to thrive and build the Kingdom,” wrote participant Sharon Thankam.
