Somebody Cares network partners Blood-n-Fire San Antonio and Ally Force are serving 2,000 hot meals each day from our staging area in Panama City, with the numbers expected to rise significantly this weekend as more people return to see their homes for the first time and more volunteers arrive to help with clean-up. We are also distributing diapers, hygiene items, paper goods, water, and other essentials to residents and local churches.

Our host church, High Praise Worship Center, said that 75% of their members have been displaced from their homes with some losing everything, yet many are still coming to serve the community.

On Sunday, after a community worship service. we’ll be hosting a community meal of smoked brisket, pulled pork, sausage, and fixings!
In Hosford, our partner CRI is serving nearby rural areas, delivering 400 meals each day to shut-ins, the elderly, and others who don’t have the ability to get out. Each meal delivery is accompanied by trailers filled with supplies that are distributed as well, and chain saw crews and blue tarp crews are being dispatched to help with downed trees and roof repairs.
Utility line crews are working tirelessly throughout the area to restore power, and water may soon be running again in Panama City which will allow more residents to come home to assess their losses.

Thank you to all who have supported our SCA network relief efforts! Please be praying for refreshment and encouragement for those who are working the front lines, especially as needs increase this weekend and beyond.

Please also prayerfully consider how you can help with resources.  Financial gifts will equip teams on the ground to continue serving meals and helping with clean-up/repairs, transport essential items for distribution to distressed families, help local churches recover so they can reach out long term in their communities, and meet special needs. Donations can be given online here; through Zelle to [email protected]; or by mailing it to:
