Somebody Cares is serving the servants sin Maui. SCA shipped two boxes of devotionals designed especially for law enforcement and other first responders to CRI, our partner serving on the ground in Lahaina. God had already opened up doors for CRI to serve alongside and minister to the police, so the devotionals provide another tool for sharing the love of Jesus.
“They were totally blessed and blown away that we were able to not only offer prayer but also the devotional,” said CRI responder Chelsea Wochomurka.
“These devotionals have been extremely well received in our work with law enforcement, military, and first responders on the mainland,” said Doug Stringer. “Our hope is that they will bring encouragement to those in Maui who have a difficult and often overwhelming job of serving a community that has lost so much, even while some of them, as well, have suffered loss.”
SCA is also partnering with Insperity to provide assistance to employees of one of their clients who live on the island and were affected by the fire.
