Luke 24 NKJV …He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee…Now behold, two of them were traveling that same day to a village called Emmaus

 

  • Inviting the Lord to “Abide with us” and communing with Him opens our eyes to revelation, fostering expectation within us.
  • The people were expecting certain things and perplexed when it didn’t happen the way they were expecting.
  • Even after all the miracles, the disciples did not understand.

 

John 14:6 NKJV Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

 

  • To fulfill our destiny, it’s essential for us to encounter a revelation of the Truth along our journey.

  • Our personal expectations may cause us to overlook the presence of Jesus.
  • Yet He is in the midst of our circumstances.
  • God takes us through a process to get us to the place of promise.
  • Through communion and fellowship we receive revelation.
  • When we ask the Lord to abide with us, are we giving Him lordship?

 

1 Corinthians 6:19 NLT Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself.

 

  • The Word of God is our bread.
  • Daily time in the Word is essential.

 

Romans 8:11 NKJV But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

 

Colossians 2:9 NKJV For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily

 

Hebrews 12:2 NKJV Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

  • Walk in humility and a fear of the Lord.
  • We should strive to walk in a manner that attracts God’s presence.
  • Personal consecration, not external piety.
  • Love the Truth more than our own lives.
  • Honor the Lord by living for Him.
  • The Fellowship (Peace) Offering is a place of communion with God. (Leviticus 3 NKJV)
  • Worship Him for who He is and what He’s already done.
