Winter storm relief continues as Somebody Cares helps with drinking water and plumbing issues created when Uri hit Houston and other areas of Texas.
Thanks to some of our ministry partners, SCA was able to receive 20 pallets of bottled water that have been distributed through churches in Greater Houston along with the IDEA School District to assist families that are still without water due to busted pipes, a shortage of plumbing supplies, and a backlog in repair times because of the high demand. We also received a donation of plumbing supplies and provided financial donations to help area churches meet immediate needs of their congregations and communities.
Tru-Lite Gas, one of our Somebody Cares Houston business partners, helped deliver some of the plumbing supplies.
“We had the great opportunity to team up with Somebody Cares to make some people’s lives better,” said Chris Sanchez from Tru-Lite. “We just want to bless these families, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to make it happen.”
