Our Guest: Tammy Corwin
Tammy Corwin is a bestselling and award-winning author, speaker, publisher, television producer, and founder of the I Am Dragonfly movement. But behind every title is a story of faith, endurance, and God’s unmistakable hand.
Abandoned at the age of two and later adopted, Tammy’s life would eventually take a turn she never could have imagined. At 22 years old, she was convicted of a crime she did not personally commit, but for which she was held legally responsible because of the actions of someone else she did not know. She was sentenced to 60 years in prison and ultimately served 30 years before being released at the age of 52.
What could have become a story defined by loss instead became a testimony of purpose. Tammy calls those years her “Hidden Season”, a time when God was shaping, preparing, and strengthening her even when she could not yet see what He was preparing her for.
Since her release, Tammy has built businesses, written 11 books, become an award-winning television producer, and created platforms that allow others to share their stories. Through I Am Dragonfly, she speaks about resilience, identity, faith, and becoming who God created you to be.
Her message is simple but hard-earned: your circumstances do not get the final word over your life. God can use even the chapters you never would have chosen, and no season is wasted when He is still writing the story.
Tammy’s reminder to audiences everywhere is: “You have to rise to thrive.”
