Our Guest: Jennifer Bagnaschi
Jennifer Bagnaschi is a Philadelphia native, yet lived in beautiful New England for the majority of her life. There she married her wonderful husband Ed and raised their two amazing children. In 2019, the Lord led their family to uproot across the country to the breathtaking (figuratively and literally) state of Colorado where they currently reside. She’s a right-brained person and takes joy in creating and designing different projects, which is why she was shocked when the Lord told her to “write”. We all get to that point in life when we ask God, “What’s my purpose and what do You want to do?” Well, for Jennifer, His response was to write—and so she did!
Key Thoughts and Scriptures:
- The supernatural life we read about in Scripture was never meant to be rare. It’s supposed to be part of our everyday walk with God.
- Our faith isn’t just something we believe, it’s gotta be something we experience.
Luke 10:19 NKJV Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Mark 16:17 NKJV And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues
- It’s part of walking with Him as believers for the whole body of Christ.
“You have authority over the devil. Don’t let him push you around.” – Joyce Meyer
- That truth changes how we live.
- We don’t have to walk in fear or intimidation because in Christ we’ve been given authority to overcome.
Joel 2:28-29 NKJV “And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.
- God’s not distant or uninvolved. He is actively at work, speaking, healing, delivering, and drawing people into a deeper relationship with Himself.
- While visiting a pentecostal church as a child, Jennifer felt that what she saw was the Bible come to life.
Hebrews 13:8 NKJV Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
- That helped shape her walk with Jesus because it showed her how real He was.
Jennifer knows that even when things get hard and tough, we’re never alone.
Exodus 14:14 NKJV The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.
- We have childlike faith, but when we start going through those personal challenges, that faith has to go deeper.
- “Jesus, I’m gonna let you go because I want to know who the true God is.”
- God speaks to us through dreams by warnings or by blessings.
- “But Jesus, I love you.” And His response was, “No, you don’t.”
- When the Lord speaks, He’s not really a man of many words.
Numbers 23:19 NKJV God is not a man, that He should lie…
- “I really didn’t love Jesus the way I was supposed to, and I didn’t love people.”
John 14:15 NKJV If you love Me, keep My commandments.
John 13:34 NKJV A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
- The Lord says humble yourself, so He doesn’t have to humble you.
James 4:10 NKJV Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord…
- We need to examine ourselves.
2 Corinthians 13:5 NKJV Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith…
- When you’re not relying on a church to feed you, you’re relying on Jesus and you get that deep intimacy with Him.
- God is the God of miracles. He is the God of the supernatural. And life is supernatural because we are supernatural beings.
Hearing other people’s experiences awakened a desire in Jennifer to hear from the Lord supernaturally, and she started asking the Lord for that.
- And the Lord eventually answered that prayer and she began to experience dreams and visions.
- When we look at scripture, those moments always have purpose.
Joshua 1:9 NKJV …Be strong and of good courage…
Acts 16:6-10 NKJV The Macedonian Call
- Heaven is very diverse.
- You need to know what you really follow.
- When you grow up in a certain mindset, you don’t think anything’s wrong with it until someone points it out.
- Jennifer promised the Lord she would never favor anyone because of their looks. It has to be by their character.
- All of us are raised with mindsets that we have to lay down at the foot of the cross.
John 16:13 NLT When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.
- God doesn’t reveal those things to scare us, but to equip us to impact the world through prayer
- You can’t fight the devil with his own tools.
- The word of God is total power.
- God started teaching Jennifer about spiritual authority even when she was young.
- It’s not enough to just say it; you need to speak with the authority that comes from knowing your identity in Christ.
- We cannot be afraid to do God’s work because we’re here for His purposes.
John 14:12 NKJV Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
Jennifer not only taught her children the “why” behind their values and beliefs, but also modeled those principles through her own life and example.
- Pray with expectancy in your heart.
Proverbs 22:6 NKJV Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
- The Western mindset is that only things that can be seen are real.
- When we become believers, we start understanding that there’s a spiritual world behind a lot of what’s happening.
Acts 19:18–20 NKJV …Also, many of those who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all.
- As part of a fellowship group learning these truths together, they decided to examine their homes and ask God to reveal anything that might be giving the enemy a foothold. As they did, the atmosphere in their home changed remarkably.
- Of course we have the authority to get it out and shut the door, but we have to understand that authority.
- If the Lord brings to mind some sin in our life, repentance is important because we need to be in right relationship with God for His authority to flow through us.
- God’s will is not for us to always live in turmoil and oppression and pain.
Matthew 6:10 KJ21 Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in Heaven.
Jennifer reminds us that we’re supposed to call the Kingdom of heaven down to earth.
- Believers need to know the authority that they have in Christ.
- It’s very important to be careful who you allow to speak into your life.
Revelation 12:11 NKJV And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony…
Esther NKJV Esther’s story
- Jennifer likes Esther because she was bold.
- God put holy power in Esther to boldly go before the king,
- Esther trusted God.
- It’s good to have godly counsel.
- She knew she was there for a purpose.
- Our walk with God is not meant to be distant or routine, but alive and personal and marked by His presence.
Psalms 77:14 TLB You are the God of miracles and wonders! You still demonstrate your awesome power.
- When we embrace all that God is offering, it begins to transform how we see Him, how we see ourselves, and how we walk each day.
2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
“God is looking for people through whom He can do the impossible. What a pity that we plan only things we can do by ourselves.” – A.W. Tozer
Ephesians 1:17-21 NIV I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better…
1 John 4:4 NIV You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
